Hope you are well. D and I want to thank you for sharing your knowledge during and after the CCH class. You, as always, were insightful, precise, thoughtful and patient throughout the class, and we are better citizens for it. We are already thinking about the next phase of our growth; attending your next level of classes and will visit your website to determine our next move. Take care and again, we are grateful to have found you like so many others. You have added to our lives immeasurably.
Best regards,
I wish to take a moment to thank you; as well as acknowledge your “Defensive Pistol For Conceal Carry” instruction I received yesterday. A fine professional job – well done indeed! This is a must course for Concealed Carry Permit holders wishing to further understand the carrying of a handgun for personal defense from someone who “knows what they’re doing”. Not often found. As a holder of Concealed Carry Permits from multiple states, I have been searching for someone to assist me in refining my skills to higher and more proficient levels. I believe I have finally found that person after so many years of searching. Your diligent instruction immediately improved my accuracy, grouping, and most importantly – the profound improvement in my comfortability and proper use of a handgun in defensive situations. It simply, and naturally, just fell into place.I surely recommend this course for anyone who wishes to “really know and appreciate” what it means to understand the obligation and responsibility of carrying a concealed handgun. Most startling to me was the very critical connection between the human mind and the human body you taught!Again, thank you for your training, guidance, mentoring; and most surely for sharing your wisdom and knowledge with me. I believe this was “the best money I have ever spent”. You can expect to see me further as I progress through this important education – with your guidance of course. Thanks for sending me home tired – and with a very pleased smile on my face!
I initially took the Basic Pistol Course from Lee Denney. He exhibited great patience and understanding to our class of “newbies” in this firearm area, taking us through the very fundamentals of handguns, proper and safe handling, target acquisition, handgun use and stance, and good old common sense. The course is formally structured based on his lifetime of professional training and experience, but is loose enough for variations and individual guidance. Lee is extremely patient with a first-timer. He wants the student to enjoy shooting! This is a great introduction class, especially if one has never fired before or is a bit intimidated by a handgun. His NC Conceal Carry class is notched above the basic pistol handling session and is jam-packed with great information in the 8+ hours. He takes the class through the total mechanics of various firearms, all sizes of ammunition, and gives great examples of weapon selection and personal use for home defense or competitive drills. Although some of our class had exposure to handguns in the past, Lee treated the entire class with professionalism and dignity, leaving very little to chance…he covered it all, for all! The time spent on the legal aspect of Conceal Carry was an integral part of the sessions. In reflecting back on the course, I now see that his deliberate pace and anecdotal comments from his life-time of experience was so necessary for mental imprinting. I especially enjoyed his real-world comments drawn from his exposure to State and Federal laws, the criminal court system, and the street knowledge so important to keep oneself from harm these days. His class preparation for the exam at the end of the classroom session was most adequate (although I got tripped up on some clever wording of the questions at times). After the written exam, we went for the 3, 5, and 7 yard performance test at the silhouette target. First and foremost with Lee, SAFETY was the focus; not only personal safety, but safety at all levels of firearm training and use. He continued to stress this throughout the course. My experience with his course was excellent. As a Professor of Pistols, Lee is the best. After some weeks of Wake County processing, I received my 5 year Conceal Carry permit. With it I carry the knowledge and training imparted to me by Lee Denney. I highly recommend his courses!
Thanks again for the training. I know we all learned a lot today. I think by you being a competitive shooter it shows in your excellent ability to teach all aspects of owning, shooting and taking care of a handgun.
Thank you,
