This is a 16 hour, 2 day NRA course.  Prior to the instructor candidate coming into this two day class the IC must take the NRA Basics of Pistol Shooting ILT class and pass with 90%.  I offer the NRA BOPS ILT Class.

Once this has been done the instructor candidates are eligible to take the Piston Instructor Class.  When the Instructor Candidates confirm a class with me I will email them the pre-course questionnaire and the pre-course assessment along with other training materials, all of which must be brought to the two day class.  Only those instructor candidates who achieve satisfactory scores in the pre-course qualification, and who meet other specified requirements for NRA instructors, are eligible for certification.  The pre-course qualification includes the following: Pre-Test: 90% or higher, The NRA pre-course qualification will have a minimum passing score of 80 out of a possible 100 points.

This is a two day class. Day one is NRA Basic Instructor Training; day two is the Pistol Instructor class.
